Painting the town red

We are pleased to learn that two of our own have been called up to represent Preston Schools FA, affectionately known as the Town team.

Declan Hardacre and Reegan Hartigan of our under 15's will join up with team in the next round of fixtures and will join a list of names such as Sir Tom Finney, Andy Lonergan, Kevin Kilbane, Alan Kelly and more recently Rhys William of Liverpool and Dion Charles of Accrington who have all represented their town.

The team is selected at trials from players put forward from 10 secondary schools across Preston and competition is fierce which only shows the standard that the two have achieved and it is a proud honour for us to have them at the club.

Club manager, Dave Ellis said of the lads "it is a privilege to coach the two of them, they have been with the club since they were 7 and its been an honour to follow their journey. Their dedication and commitment to the game is second to none. Each time they receive the ball, they light up the game and this call up is recompense for all their efforts."
